As you would expect, every Sundance model is made with Heartland’s CoreShield 2” vacuum-bonded laminated construction and includes the company’s ThermaShield weather protection package, which includes a full-enclosed and heated underbelly, a 35K BT furnace, double-sided radiant barrier insulation, and more. Both of these features give the fifth-wheel trailers outstanding durability and allow owners to extend the camping season across a broader range of weather conditions. These rigs also come equipped with quiet and energy-efficient 15K BTU air conditioners, a 35K BTU furnace, tankless water heaters, 50-amp service, spacious pass-through storage compartments, and modern entertainment centers, giving RVers a camping experience unlike any other.
For 2027, Heartland has focused on making the Sundance feel more residential, giving it features like vinyl flooring, plush theater seating, and large windows that allow plenty of natural light into the interior. Modern and efficient kitchen appliances offer an upscale culinary experience, while the bathrooms include porcelain toilets, medicine cabinets, and expansive showers complete with residential shower heads. Queen-size beds come standard, as do high-rise faucets, handcrafted soft-close cabinets, and drawers. Some models even come with ceiling fans, a fireplace, and a 50” smart TV.

The Sundance varies in size from 29’ 3” to 42’ 1” with a GVWR of 9,500 lbs. to 15,400 lbs., depending on the model. Those include the 24ML, which makes an excellent couples camper, and the 35MRBS, which doubles as a complete home on wheels with space for up to eight people. New floor plans for 2027 include the new rear kitchen 27RK layout, the 31RL which features a beautiful rear living room, and the 34MB bunkhouse model that’s excellent for growing families. And no matter which floor plan you choose, you’ll find the Sundance’s interior to be open, airy, and roomy.
Despite all of these amazing features and amenities, somehow Heartland has managed to keep the Sundance an affordable option in the fifth-wheel space. The camper remains one of the best value propositions across the entire RV industry, delivering a lot of features and amenities for the price. Add in a one-year limited warranty, along with a three-year limited structural warranty, and customers can rest assured that the Sundance is built and equipped to handle all of their travel adventures for many years to come.
