Washington’s Cascade Mountains are a four-season playground, with recreation opportunities at every turn in a rugged landscape. From summer days on the water to fall off-road exploration to winter snowmobile adventures and spring fishing jaunts, this region delivers.
Rimrock Lake Resort, on the shores of scenic Rimrock Lake, sits in an exceptional part of the Pacific Northwest and puts RV travelers in an ideal position for year-round Cascades fun. Guests can spend a day on the lake, hike in the Cascades, explore Mount Rainier, or take a side-by-side onto nearby trails. In winter, nearby White Pass offers skiing and snowboarding, while surrounding snowmobile trails provide even more opportunities for mountain adventures. The resort works as both the destination and the home base for whatever adventure brings you to the mountains.

Along Route 12
Rimrock is easily accessible on U.S. Route 12. No matter when you stay, guests can enjoy a wide array of amenities, including a dump station, restrooms, showers, and more. Wi-Fi keeps guests connected, and ample sites, including big rig spaces, accommodate a variety of vehicles. Cabins are also available, with a variety of floor plans for couples along with large families.
Guests can spend their days enjoying the lake and their evenings relaxing at their site, sharing a meal at a picnic table, or gathering around a campfire beneath the mountain sky.

With a boat launch and the lake’s only true marina, Washington’s Rimrock gives guests easy access to adventure across the lake’s 2,546 acres. The marina’s on-water fueling station is the only one on Rimrock Lake and accommodates off-road vehicles, making it a particularly convenient home base for guests bringing boats or OHVs to explore the area.

The on-site convenience store also carries food, drinks, camping essentials, RV supplies, and fishing items, making it simple for guests to pick up forgotten items or grab what they need without leaving the mountains.

Each season offers something special for visitors to the area. Here’s what to look forward to:
Summer Cascade Fun
The lake comes alive during the warm-weather months. Guests can enjoy boating, fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, or swimming, while the nearby Cascade Mountains offer hiking and outdoor recreation in practically every direction. Mount Rainier National Park is about an hour away, making Rimrock a great basecamp for exploring the Cascade Range.

Awesome in Autumn
As temperatures drop, the Cascade Mountains transition into hunting season, with elk, deer, black bear, cougar, and forest grouse in hunters’ sights. It’s also prime time for off-road adventures. Guests can take the Rimrock Lake OHV Loop, a demanding 115.7-mile route nearby that offers off-road exploring with fewer crowds. Russell Ridge features steep climbs, tight singletrack, and switchbacks rated as difficult/black diamond. When Rimrock Lake’s water levels drop dramatically in late summer and fall, parts of the exposed lake bed and island paths open up for additional off-road exploration.
For a slower-paced getaway, visitors can enjoy hiking and fishing for quieter mountain weekends as the leaves change and the weather cools.

Winter Gets Wide Open
Just 15 minutes from White Pass Ski Area, Rimrock Lake Resort puts winter adventures right at your doorstep. Spend your day skiing, snowboarding, or exploring nearby snowmobile trails, then return to the resort to warm up around a crackling fire or snuggle into a cozy cabin for a relaxing evening in the mountains. Highway 12 keeps this entire mountain corridor surprisingly accessible through the winter.
Springtime Fun
Fishing, hiking, and camping begin picking back up as the snow melts. Waterfalls and mountain streams come alive, and Rimrock Lake begins filling for the summer season, making spring a peaceful time to explore the Cascades before the busier summer months.
